Cherry Tree House is a super semi-detached house set in the heart of the tiny City of St Davids with shops, pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep and Caerfai Beach less than a mile’s walk away.

Beautifully renovated, it has been stylishly furnished in an eclectic mix of antique, modern and upcycled pieces with eye-catching bold prints and bright splashes of colour, the large picture windows ensure a light and airy feel. Set back from the road, it offers 3 convenient parking spaces, at a real premium in St Davids. Step into the hallway with practical tiled and laminate floors throughout the ground floor, this leads to a cosy sitting room ideal for relaxing, while the spacious dining room is perfect for enjoying family meals, the galley-style modern fitted kitchen leads through to a useful wet room and a door gives access to the rear garden, with the pretty cherry tree which gives the house its name, at its heart. There is a paved terrace and small lawn, enjoy dining alfresco on a summer’s evening. Stairs lead up to the bathroom and 3 bedrooms above, pause as you climb the stairs to admire the wonderful view over the roof tops to the rugged Carn Llidi rising above, the spacious master bedroom has a hotel style zip and link king size bed, to give flexibility.

Conveniently situated with a wide range of facilities in this tiny City within a short walk, the majestic Cathedral and Bishops Palace are well worth a visit. The closest beach is Caerfai less than a mile away, join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to explore this glorious coastline on foot discovering its hidden coves and narrow inlets. The famous Whitesands Beach is only 5 minutes drive, popular with families, water sport enthusiasts and surfers both beginners and professionals alike. There is even a seasonal beachside café for refreshments. If you can tear yourself away from the sea, a walk up Carn Llidi is a must, the views over the beautiful peninsula are stunning, well worth the effort and sunsets can be spectacular. For the more adventurous try your hand at coasteering, kayaking or one of the range of activities on offer by TYF Adventure, enjoy a boat trip from St Justinian’s around the Islands of Ramsey and Skomer, it’s well worth visiting the RSPB owned Ramsey, particularly in September, when the seal pups are born. While keen golfers will love the golf course set above Whitesands, the views out to sea are beautiful. If you enjoy life on two wheels, cycling along the quiet country lanes allows you to get closer to nature or the challenge yourself in the Preseli Mountains. There really is something for everyone.

Arrival & access Cherry Tree House is situated just a few steps off the High Street in St Davids up a gentle incline from the road. Access is via a double swing gate, but the width of the gateway is narrow and care needs to be taken when driving in to the property. It is recommended that guests reverse in. Alternatively, there is a large single parking space outside of the property in front of the gates to the left. Guests must not use the single parking area to the right of the property which is set behind railings. This for the exclusive use of the shop next door. Property is accessed via a small step to the front door where the key box is situated. Alternatively, access is via a back door to the rear of the property near the patio area where there is no step required. Both doors have thumb catch doors to comply with fire regulations. Guide dogs are welcome. Internal The property consists of two floors. On the ground floor there is a hall, sitting room, dining room, kitchen, back hall wet room with wash basin and WC. The downstairs WC cannot be accessed by wheelchair. The kitchen is galley style and contains electric ceramic induction hob, oven, slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and multiple storage cupboards at floor and head level. The first floor is accessed by stairs with a sturdy banister. The first floor consists of a bathroom with overhead shower, WC and wash basin. There are three bedrooms: a double room (with king size bed which can be unzipped to make two single beds), a further double room and a single room. Double rooms have large fitted cupboards for hanging and storing clothes. The boiler is located in a cupboard in the third single bedroom and is fitted with a carbon monoxide alarm. The gas boiler has been serviced and has a current “gas safe” certificate. The property is well-lit throughout and has an external light by the front door with a switch inside front door. Motion & light sensitive safety lights are located on both floors in the hallways. Garden The front gate should be shut if children, vulnerable adults or dogs are staying at the property. The garden (which is mainly lawn) slopes up gently to a flat concrete patio area. There is a lockable garage at the end of the driveway. To the left of the garage is an area for garden waste and compost bins. This ground is uneven and guests are recommended to refrain from using it. A raised concrete patio is positioned at the rear of the property on the same level as the ground floor. There are two small steps leading up to the patio area. There is a gravel area between the patio and shop to the right. The garden is totally enclosed by a wall to the left, a fence at the back and the adjacent shop to the right. Transport and local shopping There is public transport to and from St Davids by bus (operated by Richards Brothers) and the bus stop is approximately 200 metres away in New Street. This runs both to Haverfordwest (where there is a train station to Swansea and Cardiff) and Fishguard to the north (where there is a ferry to Ireland and a train station). In the summer months, additional shuttle buses run to some beaches and coastal roads. Taxi services are available in the area.
