Bowen Therapy
This alternative therapy can be used to treat a number of conditions
Are you suffering from back or neck pain? Do you have a frozen shoulder? Bowen Therapy is a common treatment for such issues, and has even been thought to be beneficial for conditions such as asthma, migraines and IBS.
Bowen Therapy is a remedial therapy which is applied using very gentle pressure. This distinct move uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen's unique sets of rolling-type moves which helps to stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body to help promote flexibility and movement.
The therapy combines the hands-on movements with resting periods to allow the body to begin repairing between movements. Breaks between movements encourage the brain to respond to the movements, which may take longer depending on the condition. The days after your treatment are significant as this is when you are more likely to feel the effects of the therapy, experiencing some stiffness and soreness which indicates the body has begun to heal.
