The city of St Davids is, more accurately, an attractive village on the most westerly peninsula of mainland Britain and has what many consider to be the country's most lovely cathedral. You’ll also find excellent shops, pubs and restaurants in the city’s centre, which is easily accessible from our range of St Davids holiday cottages.
Pilgrims have visited this area since its first church was established in the 6th century, and the cathedral and Bishop’s Place are still local centres of religion. Today, however, music festivals, art and craft exhibitions and open-air theatre events also take place here.
The city's central position within a narrow neck of land puts four sandy beaches nearby, the closest being Caerfai Bay less than a mile away from the centre. A trip to Ramsey, from St Justinian’s slipway, to see the seals and visit the bird sanctuary should not be missed, while Whitesands Beach, renowned for its surf, is popular with beginners and professionals alike. Alternatively, join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to explore the stunning coastline, with its hidden coves and beaches.
Whichever parts of the area you most want to explore, our beautiful selection of holiday cottages in St Davids will give you somewhere comfortable and convenient to come back to at the end of every busy day.
