Abercastle has always been a much loved place with the locals and visitors alike. The coastal hamlet is set within a conservation area of the National park and is popular with walkers and fishermen- who can still be seen here regularly landing their catch. A perfect holiday destination for seaside cottage holidays.
Our Abercastle holiday cottages make a great base from which to discover the very best of the beautiful North West Pembrokeshire coast. This small village is situated just a short drive away from Porthgain, with its two excellent pub-restaurants and stunning harbour, as well as the hamlet of Abereiddy, which has a gorgeous turquoise lagoon that is popular with both cliff jumpers and kayakers.
Abercastle itself may not be the liveliest place in the world but, for many visitors, that is its whole appeal. If you are after a vibrant nightlife and busy High Street shops, you won’t find it here; however, if you want to experience total peace and quiet and to relax in the most serene of coastal settings, you needn’t look anywhere else. And, whether you want to fish, dive, climb or walk, there are all sorts of ways you could choose to get up close to Abercastle’s incredible natural beauty.
Whilst staying at your quiet and cosy holiday cottage in Abercastle, you could also choose to spend a day or two exploring the livelier nearby community of St Davids. Easily accessible by car and a truly wonderful place to visit, this friendly city is probably best-known for its ancient cathedral, which was completed in the mid-13th century and still stands proudly today.
