Saundersfoot is a picture-postcard community brimming with natural seaside beauty, bustling independent shops and pubs and restaurants. The beach, harbour and pretty, floral village are all justifiably popular with visitors from around the world.
The origins of Saundersfoot, surprisingly, lie in the industrial history of the county of Pembrokeshire. The village first developed to serve the long-gone local coal mining activity, when small steam trains brought the coal into the harbour, where it was then shipped in coastal colliers. The tunnelled headlands now form part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which can be easily accessed from all of our Saundersfoot holiday cottages. If you find yourself with a few hours to spare whilst in the area, why not try walking the relaxing, well-signposted and stunning route from Saundersfoot to the nearby town of Tenby?
