We've just turned forty and we've got some big plans to celebrate it.
That's right, we're turning 40! We've come a long way since our humble beginnings operating out of a seaside home in the tiny village of Abercastle way back in 1982. A lot has changed since then but a lot has remained the same.
We couldn't let our fortieth birthday pass by without making it into a bit of an occasion. Four whole decades in business is something to be celebrated and that's exactly what we plan on doing this year. Expect twelve months of celebrations with a few fun and exciting moments along the way, plus some things we hope you'll all want to get involved with too. Find out more about our initial plans below.
Raising Funds in aid of Cancer Research UK
For 2022, we have chosen to raise money in aid of Cancer Research UK as this is a charity particularly close to our hearts. We have a few plans up our sleeves to put the FUN in fundraising so keep an eye on our website and our social channels to stay updated with our plans and to find out how you can get involved. We started early in 2021 with a Staff Christmas Jumper Day and are set to continue with many more in-house staff events throughout the year, as well as bigger efforts you can join in with.
Our "Project 40"
The Coastal Cottages Foundation was created to invest back into the communities that allow us to create so many fantastic memories. These funds are from our guests to the community, to essentially leave Pembrokeshire better than they found it.
For every booking we take, we ask for a voluntary £2 donation to help fund a multitude of projects throughout the county.
This year, we will also be launching our "Project 40" where we will be donating £500 to 40 projects in Pembrokeshire to celebrate our 40 years in business.

To celebrate 40 years we have, as a team who all live right here in Pembrokeshire, put together our Ultimate Bucket List of the top 40 things to do in Pembrokeshire. For inspiration, we've highlighted some of the activities on offer and as our regular visitors will testify, illustrated why Pembrokeshire is truly a foodie heaven. Without a doubt, Pembrokeshire is something of "The Play Park of Wales", home to an abundance of land and sea-based activities unmatched elsewhere.
