Keeping you safe during your holiday

As we prepare to re-open the doors of Pembrokeshire, it is clear that normality is still far away. However, as and when our government decides to open our doors, it is imperative that new procedures are in place to allow us all to work together in our recovery process. This is for the reassurance, safety and confidence of our community, our caretakers, our staff and of course you, our guests. Any help you can give us during your stay will be most welcomed at this time.

Ultimately with cleaning moving towards sanitisation, many many items you normally expect to find may have been removed from properties, such as board games and books etc. So we do advise you to bring these with you. New temporary departure times of 9am and arrival times of 5pm have been implemented initially to allow adequate time for changeovers and staff checks to be completed. This includes garden furniture as well, so please be patient with us as we get up to speed.

Locally, many food stores are delivering, with some pubs and restaurants offering take away services. The hospitality industry, like us, will be preparing to make changes and we will be updating our website and information platforms to help you make the most of your stay and sample some of the delights on offer.

Pembrokeshire is still here, but we need to work together. When the time is right the county will be opened slowly and safely. Together, working with you, we can do this in a safe manner and welcome you back to our stunning county.

So what can you expect:

• More simplified cottages with less clutter so you may need to bring own DVDs, books and games.
• A new procedure for departure involving wiping down surfaces, attaching tags to rooms/items not used.
• Spare crockery stored in sealed boxes or taped to show items have been cleaned, only break if using.

What else do you need to consider packing:

• Hairdryers may no longer be provided so please bring your own.
• Please bring sanitising products with you like hand soap, wipes, disinfectant spray, hand sanitiser etc.
• Let us know if you would prefer the option to bring your own duvets and pillows and we will leave the property with only a sheet on the mattress so you can make up the bed yourself on arrival.

Is it still OK to bring pets?

Of course.  We do ask, as normal, that you keep pets under control particularly when out and about or in shared communal areas. Pets can carry the virus if touched by others.

Can you help with checkout?

• Please load the dishwasher, if applicable, before departure so the caretaker can unload. If the property doesn’t have a dishwasher, please leave out items that you have used so it is clear to the caretaker.
• Remove all food items and empty cupboards/fridge/freezer and empty bins before leaving.
• Please leave promptly to allow time for cleaning.

How can you help locally?

• Shop locally, lists of places operating delivery or take away services can be provided, (there is a Facebook page for this too). Don’t forget to ask our concierge team to recommend local stores.
• Please respect the community movement laws in place. The county can be shut down as fast as it opened if laws are not correctly followed. But we know our guests are well behaved! ​
• Remember Welsh Government rules while you are here, they may differ from other regions of the UK.

Finally, what happens if you do feel unwell on Holiday?

Should you feel unwell during your stay you cannot self isolate in the cottage, you must return home if safe to do so or seek medical advice. Inform us immediately so we can lock down the property and carry out our specialist deep clean.

Declaration Of Health

You will be required to submit a declaration that everyone in your party is COVID-19 free prior to arrival and again before departure.
