Little Haven: Two Pembrokeshire Dog Walks
A seaside village perfect for you and your pup

In the quaint village of Little Haven, you'll find two convenient routes for your next Pembrokeshire dog walk - perfect for a light stroll during your stay in one of our Little Haven holiday cottages.
During your visit to Little Haven, we recommend making time to visit the tiny cove that is Little Haven Beach. Completely enveloped during high tide, you'll find a stretch of sand revealed at low tide with space enough to scoot around the headland into Broad Haven.
Little Haven Inland: The Route
Head out of the public car park via the pedestrian exit to the rear, past the public toilets and RNLI Lifeboat Station, and turn right, then right again onto Wesley Road. Follow this road until the end and cross a stone stile. Continue straight ahead along the edge of the field, keeping the hedge on your left, and walk towards the stile in the top right corner of the last field.
After crossing the stile and stream, continue straight ahead for a waymark post at the top of the slope. Turn left here. Aim for the second telephone post from the left at the far end of the field – keep the brambles on your left. When it is visible, aim for the kissing gate.
After passing through the kissing gate, turn right onto a lane and continue along until it turns right. Carry on straight ahead towards ‘Woodlands’ and stay on the tarmac lane until you reach a footpath sign at Woodvale Bungalow. Here, turn right following the path. Just before the metal field gate, turn right over the stile and follow the windy path down the hill. After crossing the bridge and gate, turn right and at the crossing turn right again heading back into the village.
Route Distance
This Pembrokeshire dog walk is approximately 1.6 miles in length.
Little Haven, Strawberry Hill: The Route
Head out of the car park via the main entrance and turn left onto the road where you will then continue up the hill and out of the village. Pass the 30mph sign and keep an out to your right for a gate set back in the hedge.
Follow this worn path to the brow of the hill and turn right onto the Coast Path. Turn left at the waymark post and follow the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path back to Little Haven. Please note that at two points the path seems to fork. On both occasions, take the left path closest to the sea to keep on the Coast Path. Go down the steps and continue straight on.
After a green house, turn right. Turn right again at the post office to head back to the public car park.
Route Distance
This Pembrokeshire dog walk is approximately 1 mile long.
Facilities
Little Haven has a public car park and several seaside pubs to visit for a spot of lunch or dinner, if you fancy extending your time in this picturesque coastal location.
Further facilities including a convenience shop and Post Office lie just over the headland in Broad Haven, follow the steep hill out of the village but be careful if traveling on foot as the road is narrow with no footpath. At low tide, venture across the sand but be aware, the incoming tide will cut you off so make sure to check the times before you do so.
How to find it
Little Haven is easily found from Haverfordwest and St Davids. Take the B341 out of Haverfordwest and follow signs for Little Haven. From St Davids, take the main road to Newgale and turn right for Nolton rather than following the main road up the hill. Follow this coastal road through Nolton, Broad Haven and Little Haven keeping right at all junctions until you reach the village.
Parking
You will find a public car park with public toilets in the centre of Little Haven. This is the start and finish point of your dog walk in Pembrokeshire.
Start/Finish
