The first-ever Fishguard Bay Food and Drink Festival in Pembrokeshire is designed to celebrate the wonderful and wide range of food that is grown and cooked locally.
Expect food stalls, chef demonstrations, street theatre and more throughout this week-long festival in one of North Pembrokeshire's prettiest harbourside villages. Locals and foodie travellers will also be pleased to know that this new festival will incorporate the famous traditional Cawl Crawl Challenge where local establishments battle it out for the title of "Best Cawl" as voted by those who buy a bowl and sample each cawl as they "crawl" through the town.
Check the Fishguard Food Festival Facebook for updates.
Fishguard, previously a Viking settlement, is a small and friendly coastal town which comes to life on market day (Thursday). The small shops, galleries and restaurants are of particularly high quality and the town also hosts a fantastic annual international music and arts festival in July.
