Pay a visit to the Last Invasion Tapestry Gallery, located with the town library on the first floor of Fishguard Town Hall. The tapestry, owned by the Fishguard Invasion Centre Trust, was produced as part of the bicentenary celebrations for the Last Invasion in 1997. Over 30 metres in length, this tapestry took four years to complete and was designed by Elizabeth Cramp before being embroidered by a total of 77 local people.
You can stroll in and take a look whenever the library is open, or pre-book a free guided tour from a member of the Trust. Added storyboards and artefacts are used to help guide your learning, and you can even learn all about the making of the tapestry in their audio visual room.
