The Witches Cauldron, or Pwll-Y-Wrach to the Welsh, is a geological feature near Ceibwr Bay in North Pembrokeshire which can be accessed only by either sea kayak or a good half an hour's walk along the Coastal Path from Ceibwr Bay.
This collapsed cave boasts impressively vibrant green waters and is a popular landmark for sightseers. Kayakers enjoy the many intricate tunnels from the sea into the cave whilst walkers can enjoy stunning views from the Path above. The entire Pembrokeshire Coastal Path may be steep and narrow in parts so do take care when hiking.
Important: Access is denied from mid-August to November as seals gather in this area during their popping season. Make sure to plan your visit in advance and take note of the signage advising you not to go further. It is vital to give these creatures space so as not to spook them. If you intend to visit and wish to kayak right into the cave, make sure to do so outside of pupping season.
