Gwbert is a small, clifftop hamlet in the community of Y Ferwig, Ceredigion. It lies at the most southerly coastal point of the county, on the eastern shore of the River Teifi estuary, and is dominated by stunning views over Cardigan Bay. Gwbert is sure to capture your senses, whatever season you visit.
A few of the area’s many highlights that are within walking distance of our holiday cottages in Gwbert-on-Sea include the excellent Cardigan Golf Club, the Cliff Hotel - which serves its great food to non-residents and guests alike - the local sailing club, and a variety of wonderfully secluded coves.
Cardigan Castle
As you may have already guessed, Ceredigion’s historic county town, Cardigan, is not far from our selection of Gwbert holiday cottages. A popular yet quaint rural market town, Cardigan offers its visitors a wide range of amenities, with a theatre/cinema and various shops, pubs and restaurants all waiting to be enjoyed.
If you’re coming to this corner of Wales to get away from town life, however, Gwbert certainly won’t disappoint. Replete with dramatic coastal scenery, the hamlet and surrounding area will prove to be the perfect destination for nature lovers - a trip around Cardigan Bay to see the dolphins, seals and birdlife is a must.
