Wolfs Castle is a little village situated in the heart of a fairly undiscovered part of Pembrokeshire. This rural area, located between the towns of Haverfordwest and Fishguard, has been a regular winner of the ‘Wales in Bloom’ competition over the past 10 years or so.
The village has 2 pub/restaurants which both serve beautiful food with special wines and ales. Both are well worth a visit.
For the fishing fan, Wolfs Castle has it’s very own fishing centre, run by Pembrokeshire’s Anglers Association and located in the gorge. This is a great experience, with it’s fishing platform, built with disabled guests in mind and impressive purpose built pool. This day out also has fabulous picnic spots. Wolfs Castle’s grandest and closest attraction has to be that of the beautiful Scolton Manor and Country Park.
Located just a 10 minute drive away, the Victorian country house is well worth a visit, both upstairs and downstairs are offered on display to visitors along with a gorgeous walled garden and beekeeping centre, now located in the old stable block. This area provides unlimited hours of walking, horse riding, golfing and fishing opportunities and is set in a convenient location for exploring all over Pembrokeshire.
