Heddfan is the ideal year-round choice for friends or extended families, offering a convivial country kitchen and comfy lounge for cosy winter reunions; and generous lawns, outdoor barbecue area and bright sunroom for summer dining. There are also two bright, modern family bathrooms and a ground floor cloakroom.
Bordering open fields, Heddfan enjoys partial sea and Preseli Hills views, which can be seen in full with just a short stroll. Guests can gain access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path via a nearby footpath, or simply walk through pretty country lanes towards Abercastle or Trefin. The coastal shuttle bus also stops in the village.
The newly opened Siop Fach Tearoom and Collectables in Mathry is where you can enjoy breakfast, light lunch or afternoon tea and also browse the many collectables; china and glassware, jewellery and souvenirs; Beswick, Masons, Shelley, Wades, Britains.

There's no smoking indoors, but there's a covered outdoor smokers shelter/wet-weather gear drying area at the back of the house.

Head to Fishguard's Town Hall every Saturday morning for the popular Farmer's Market where you'll have a chance to sample and buy a range of local produce such as eggs, cheeses, breads, jams and chutneys.

All children will receive a wrapped gift from Santa. You will be welcome to take your own photographs if you wish. Children can take part in Elf on the Shelf a Free Kids Hunt. Get muddy this Christmas with this festive muddy event! This Mud Run is approximately 8k and takes you through some boggy, muddy areas of coast path and possibly the sea! Crossing through farmland, this route will take you climbing over and under things getting you well and truly covered in mud! Take part with friends for fun or challenge them to a race! This event is not timed, but the final finishing order will be published after the event. Entry costs £25 for over 16's. 13-16 year old can participate providing they are accompanied by an adult, this will be at a discounted price of £40 for adult and child entry. Milford's Torch Theatre once again brings a classic pantomime to stage - a must-see for anyone staying in Pembrokeshire this Christmas! The baby Princess Rose is given a curse from the evil Maleficent stating she will die on her 16th birthday but her Fairy Godmother steps in and Rose instead falls into a deep sleep which can only be broken by a handsome prince - this is sure to be a fantastic production by the Torch Theatre once again! Pembrokeshire band Honey Fungus are playing a live gig at The Castle Inn, Little Haven this December. The set combines well-known songs with their own acoustic music and stories. Pop along for some great food, a great atmosphere and some quality live music. The performance starts at 9.30pm.
Span Arts are hosting a Pay What You Can Family Theatre where everyone is welcome to attend and 'Pay What You Can' for the Performance , paying whatever you can afford to give us (suggested donation is £5 per ticket.) All you need to do in advance is book yourself a ticket and bring along however much money you want to pay for your ticket! Or leave it til after the performance, and pay what you think it was worth. Forms will be available on the day. The performance is seton Christmas Eve - the excited Bell Boy and the Bah Humbug Chamber Maid of the smallest hotel in the world are busy preparing for guests to arrive for Christmas. The tree is decorated, the table is laid and the rooms are set in a frenzy of choreographed mayhem and frantic activity. Finally the Maitre De brings the guests from the audience up the red carpet and into the hotel for the most jolly, surprising and unforgettable seasonal stay of their lives: acrobatic elves; a Christmas Cracker Cabaret; flaming pud; flying pancakes and a personal visit from Father Christmas himself all in one night at L'Hotel Nöel. Fishguard once again welcomes you to it's Annual New Year's Eve Street Party! With celebrations, live music and fireworks - it really is a fantastic party to celebrate the coming of the New Year! Refreshments are available on the street and in the surrounding pubs and restaurants. This event is free entry, donations are appreciated as any money given is then put towards next year's celebrations.
A perfect way to bring in the new year, Victoria Hall in Roch is hosting their annual New Years celebrations with a bonfire and fireworks. The event starts from 5pm onwards with the lighting of the bonfire, and refreshments are available in the hall throughout the evening. Admission to be paid upon entry.
Celebrate Burns Night with a real Scottish treat in Moylegrove this January. You can dine on Scottish dishes including haggis, tatties, neeps and clootie dumplings. There will also be entertainment including pipers, musicians and folk singers as well as a slide-show of north-west Scotland. This event starts at 7.30pm at Moylegrove Village Hall (the old school).
Known to be a very challenging but beautiful course, the Ras Dewi Sant is a full and a half marathon running on Saturday 25th February. The full marathon runs point to point along the coastal path with an entry cost of £35 whereas the half marathon is a loop course with an entry cost of £25. All entry includes a T-shirt, Medal and refreshments including cawl, tea and coffee. There are also first aid stations and changing rooms available for all participants.
A firm favourite with our regular visitors, Picton Castle's Easter Egg Trail for children is a self-guided scamper through fabulous woodlands as they burst into bloom. Collect your leaflet at the Ticket Office and follow the trail – you will find clues along the way! When you have finished, pop into the Gift Shop to collect your prize. It's a great way for the whole family to enjoy the woodlands as masses of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Magnolias come into flower. While the kids rush around in search of clues, the ‘grown-ups' can enjoy the magnificent colours and scents. After the walk, what better reward than a nice warming cup of hot chocolate with cream and a homemade cake in the Courtyard Restaurant, or perhaps make it a lunchtime visit and enjoy the Spanish dish of the day with a glass of wine or beer! Two full days of kite flying in on Broad Haven’s ‘Blue Flag’ Beach. A 2 day event organised by Midlands Kite Fliers
Day three of the MKF ( Midlands Kite Fliers) Rendezvous with a day flying at Hilton Court Gardens and Crafts, Roch, Pembrokeshire with its stunning coastal views overlooking St Brides Bay.
The Man Up In The Mud run is a great mud run approximately 4.5 miles in distance. Following a great coastal route, the course promises to be boggy and muddy with obstacles to climb over and under!
The Preseli Beast is an off-road racing event, still a relatively new event as it is only in its fifth year now. Approximately 24 miles off road, this race takes in a route through wooded valleys, trails and paths taking in scenery across the Gwaun Valley and Newport Bay. Opt for a smaller race with the Beast Bach, an 11 mile off-road race, or rise to the challenge of the Ultrabeast - a 32 mile off-road race! The start and finish are in Maenclochog, with the Ultrabeast kicking off first at 9am.
The BANFF Mountain Film Festival makes a return to the Torch Theatre this year with another selection of incredible short films showcasing adventures from across the world. There's also the opportunity to win a number of free goodies in a prize draw! Tickets cost £13.50 or £12 for concessions.
Running from the event headquarters at Oriel Y Parc in St. David's, this event sees approximately 1500 cyclists take part in the sportive tour of Pembrokeshire. There are three distance routes covering much of North Pembrokeshire taking you through Fishguard, Newport and Cardigan depending on the distance you take part in. It's a great event for athletes and supporters alike!
The St Davids Cathedral Festival takes place across ten days with a range of classical and contemporary musical performances taking place in the beautiful setting of St Davids Cathedral. This event is a success year after year, and is definitely one not to be missed. Performers in the past have included the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Sixteen, Goodwick Brass Band. This ultra marathon is approximately 66.6 miles in distance, with approximately 40 miles of the course running along the coastal path with the remainder along the road. In 2016, only 6 people managed to complete and receive their finisher's medal so you can imagine the difficulty level of this challenge! The course runs through coastal locations such as Solva, Porthclais, St Justinians, Whitesands, Abereiddy and Abermawr, guaranteeing a really memorable course. Due to the nature of the course, cut off is at 20 hours with 5 check points and all participants will be required to bring along a full kit of the following items: Head Torch, Space Blanket, Whistle, Mobile Phone, Map (Supplied), Water, Energy Food, Hat, Gloves, Waterproof Clothing, Sun Cream. Entry costs £45 per person.
This very popular annual event is back once again! With classic vehicles of all varieties, there's something here for car lovers, tractor lovers, military vehicle buffs and those mad for motorcycles! There will be children's entertainment, craft stalls and refreshments available.
With two different distances available, you can either enter the Middle Distance Ocean Lava event which is made up of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile cycle and a 13.1 mile run; or the Wales Triathlon Sprint Distance which is made up of a 750m swim, a 13 mile cycle and a 4 mile run. Whether you're an athlete or a spectator, supporters line the streets creating an amazing atmosphere and energy which definitely makes this event a must-see!
With a packed weekend of music, literature, sport and food, Solva's Edge Festival makes the most of the local produce and events, and is a great weekend for all the family. The weekend hosts a Battle of the Bands, an open-water swim and a football tournament, plus there is a Beer and Cider festival throughout the weekend. There will also be a variety of stalls, literature talks, raffles and live music. There really is plenty going on this weekend! Pembrokeshire's County Show returns for another year! This annual event brings thousands of people to the Haverfordwest Showground each year. With a variety of crafts and stalls, there is also displays, exhibitions and performances to see! There is a whole host of agricultural machinery on display as well as livestock to see, a fair, and a number of horse and dog shows. Of course there is also plenty of opportunities to meet and greet with local businesses, as well as sampling some great local produce on offer in the food hall!
Held in various locations across the seaside town of Fishguard, this festival occurs annual over the August Bank Holiday celebrating jazz and blues music.
Fishguard’s Autumn Festival will be holding a ‘Family fun and Fireworks’ on Goodwick seafront. Pembrokeshire Firespinners will be at the event this year as well as many other fun activities.
Come along to Trewern Arms for Fireworks and to celebrate Bonfire night. Enter into the Best-dressed Guy Fawkes' competition. Enjoy a glass of something warming and a pork roll before the fireworks display later on that evening.

A lovely hiouse, very spacious and comfortable with a great garden for the children to play (so we can reklax!) Lucky to have fantastic weather.
