About Morwynt

Morwynt is a detached traditional stone cottage, which has been renovated and extended to a high standard yet retaining a wealth of original charm and character, and furnished with antique pieces. It is set in an enviable position on the cliffside flanking the pretty fishing village of Abercastle with views over this picturesque, unspoilt inlet and out to sea. Sit on the bench to the fore of the cottage and watch the local fishermen come and go as well as savouring the fantastic sunsets as the sun slowly sinks out to sea. Step into the open plan lounge/diner with beams, slate floor and original Inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove for cosy evenings in. A step down leads to the light, cottage style modern fitted kitchen. Morwynt is comfortably furnished throughout with quality antique pieces. There are three cosy bedrooms in the eaves with A frame beams and pretty sea views from the small low windows. There is a useful ground floor bedroom with ensuite facilities.

Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path on your doorstep and explore this stunning section of coastline with its array of bird and wildlife including seals and their pups. A beautiful holiday home to create lasting memories.

Care needed as unfenced drop to the front of the cottage.

£150 bond required.

Access Statement

This Access Statement has been prepared by the owner for your information; it is the most recent version that we have received. This statement has been prepared as objectively as possible, however with such a wide remit oversights may be made.

Please ensure all crucial requirements for a safe and enjoyable holiday are present so if you have any queries whatsoever, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01437 767600.

Initial approach is made down an unmade road into a rough driveway. There is a drop on the seaward side. Access to the back door is down steps and to the front door directly from the front of the house. The double bedroom on the ground floor has a ensuite whb/wc and it must be stressed that the doorway is low and requires ducking on entering and leaving. There is underfloor heating that does not require adjustment. There is no gas and the cooker is a Range Master with separate instructions provided. There is also a microwave. There are 2 bathrooms both with shower attachments and wcs. Please be careful with the upstairs ensuite bath shower attachment as it should not be used as a stand up shower because of headroom and because of the risk of flooding. There is external and automatic lighting to the back door but not at the front. There is no telephone. There are 2 TVs with remote controls and a music centre in the main room. There is public transport from the main road through the village and a leaflet is provided for times. The garden is levelled at the front but with a steep drop away from the house which is not fenced to keep the view. The house is on 2 floors and is a conversion of an old traditional cottage. There are 3 bedrooms altogether on the 1st floor, 2 of which are at the front of the house, these are fitted with Velux windows. Please be particularly careful about the steep edges to the property as they can be dangerous and no liability can be accepted for accidents. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path can be reached by the gate on the left if you face the front door. Please keep it closed as sheep visit.
