Ty Draw is a charming traditional stone cottage set in the heart of the village of Trefin within walking distance of the picturesque cove of Aberfelin, with its sand and shingle beach and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Beautifully and lovingly renovated to a high standard throughout, it offers deceptively spacious living space with a stylish yet sympathetic modern extension, providing a complete contrast.
One of a terrace of 3 cottages, the practical porch opens to the sitting room with beams, whitewashed stone walls and slate floors throughout the ground floor. The wood burning stove ensures a cosy feeling on those chiller evenings. Four steps lead down into the hall and through to the bathroom and the light, modern, open plan living space with a contemporary fitted kitchen, comfortable seating and dining area. Corner bi-fold doors allow you to open this up to the rear enclosed gravelled courtyard, prettily planted, a wonderful suntrap where you can dine alfresco or enjoy a drink on a summer’s evening. Stairs from the sitting room lead up to the double bedroom with A frame beams and a cosy single bedroom with an extra pull out trundle bed.
Conveniently located you are within walking distance of the village pub, The Ship Inn, serving good food and an art gallery/café. The village of Trefin sits above the bays of Aberfelin and Abercastle, both within walking distance. Aberfelin has a sand and shingle beach, a wonderful rocky arch and rock pools to explore, while the little fishing village of Abercastle is still frequented by fishermen, enjoy watching them land their catch. Perfect for keen walkers, leave the car behind and take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to really explore this rugged coastline on foot, you will be entranced by its beauty. Take in Porthgain, Abereiddy with its Blue Lagoon or Abermawr and up to Strumble Head. Whitesands Beach should not be missed, with its wonderful sandy beach, it is popular with families but also with surfers, both professional and beginners alike. The tiny City of St Davids is well worth a visit with its majestic Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace as well as an excellent selection of pubs, shops and restaurants. To the north, the pretty harbour town of Fishguard also offers a variety of facilities.
Ty Draw is a true delight and sure to become a firm favourite whatever the season.
