The scenic country and coastal walks are a must from which to enjoy the fabulous views, join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and explore the beautiful, golden sandy beach and tidal estuary where the river Nevern reaches the sea. The area abounds with bird and wildlife and the different seasons bring different visitors. The small town of Newport is just a few minutes’ drive away and has interesting pubs, restaurants, craft shops and galleries to enjoy; golfing enthusiasts will delight in playing the nearby course with its stunning sea views.

The street market in Newport runs from the beginning of April to the end of December. The market is open on Mondays, weather permitting, from Its aim is to promote and sell local produce and products and it presents an opportunity to buy fresh produce and locally reared meats.
Dyfed Shire Horse Farm, Eglwyswrw a tourist attraction at the foot of the Preseli Mountains. They are known internationally for breeding a shire horse called Major Mercury (aka Dyfed Celt) one of the household cavalry drum horses. There is plenty for the whole family to do, whatever the weather. Daily Timetable of activities including, Harnessing demonstrations, during which we will dress the horse in a working set of harness and explain the function and history of the harness, Horse and cart rides (Summer Holidays Only) Tractor ride around the working farm, Animal Feeding and Donkey Grooming. They also have an Indoor soft play area & Outdoor adventure area - Crazy Golf, Sand Shed and Skittles. Nature Trail with woodlands and hedgerows to explore and stunning views of the Preseli Mountains to enjoy.

Head to Fishguard's Town Hall every Saturday morning for the popular Farmer's Market where you'll have a chance to sample and buy a range of local produce such as eggs, cheeses, breads, jams and chutneys.

This is an annual event which takes places right in the centre of the town of Cardigan. The main attraction is the parade which goes through the town, made up of local horses followed by vintage vehicles such as tractors, cars and motorcycles. Head along in the morning to see the horses being judged.

Day three of the MKF ( Midlands Kite Fliers) Rendezvous with a day flying at Hilton Court Gardens and Crafts, Roch, Pembrokeshire with its stunning coastal views overlooking St Brides Bay.
The Preseli Beast is an off-road racing event, still a relatively new event as it is only in its fifth year now. Approximately 24 miles off road, this race takes in a route through wooded valleys, trails and paths taking in scenery across the Gwaun Valley and Newport Bay. Opt for a smaller race with the Beast Bach, an 11 mile off-road race, or rise to the challenge of the Ultrabeast - a 32 mile off-road race! The start and finish are in Maenclochog, with the Ultrabeast kicking off first at 9am.

Pembrokeshire's County Show returns for another year! This annual event brings thousands of people to the Haverfordwest Showground each year. With a variety of crafts and stalls, there is also displays, exhibitions and performances to see! There is a whole host of agricultural machinery on display as well as livestock to see, a fair, and a number of horse and dog shows. Of course there is also plenty of opportunities to meet and greet with local businesses, as well as sampling some great local produce on offer in the food hall!

The West Wales Wool Show in Narberth is a celebration of all things woolly. From beautifully hand crafted items, clothing and footwear to knitting wool, fleece and all the equipment needed to make at home. Demonstrations run throughout the day with stall holders sharing their skills and knowledge with visitors plus wool skill workshops such as felting. The main aim of the show is to support local wool producers and small craft businesses. Wool as a renewable resource is still undervalued and the show aims to bring this wonderful natural resource back into focus. The show is run by the Pembrokeshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers with support from PLANED.

When we forst arrived we couldnt believe how lovely the cottage was. Nicole was running from room to room, We left food out for our little friend the fox, We tired ourselves out on our walks and mountain biking. Loved every minute of the peace and quiet and stunning scenery. Flew a kite on the beach and enjoyed our little walks over the sand dunes. Absolutely fantastic New years break. Really sad to be going home even though we have got aching legs and bums haha. Definately going to return and try a summer here, Thank you
