Bonville’s Court Country Park in Saundersfoot

Saundersfoot Holiday Park

Bonville

On the outskirts of the seaside village of Saundersfoot is Bonville’s Court Country Park, a small exclusive family-run caravan park.

At Bonville’s Court, we have six cosy holiday homes that together sleep up to 26. Three of the properties are part of the old powerhouse that has been beautifully converted by the park owners. This characterful relic showcases the area's coal mining history and the colliery that once operated on this site. This stunningly preserved building is now home to not just holiday homes, but also a wonderful spa and gym for guests.

The Old Powerhouse Properties

Sovereign Suite

For romantic luxury, Sovereign Suite is the one to choose. This modern-style penthouse is directly above the gym and wonderful spa facilities below that are part of the old powerhouse.

Walk up the stairs to be greeted with a spacious open-plan living space, furnished and decorated to a high standard. You’ll notice the stunning custom-made stained glass window that nicely illustrates some of the building's coal mining history. This looks over the Juliette balcony which cleverly brightens the room with natural light, bouncing the colours from the stained glass around the room.

Sovereign Suite

There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to visit in Saundersfoot and the neighbouring seaside town of Tenby. If you’d rather stay in, you can enjoy a home-cooked meal around the kitchen island whilst looking out at the peaceful rural views of the valley.

Whilst having daily use of the gym and spa facilities, guests of Sovereign Suite benefit from exclusive use from 8-9pm every evening. A great way to relax at the end of the day with the choice of a sauna, steam room and spa pool. You can spend your evenings relaxing down below in the spa then head back upstairs to hit the hay in the king-size bed just around the corner of the main living space. If this doesn’t describe luxury, then maybe the spacious double shower will.

Anthracite Cottage

Set at the back of the park, Anthracite Cottage is attached to the original powerhouse along with Tower Cottage. Sleeping 4, Anthracite Cottage has been imaginatively converted with a mix of modern and industrial features. Having adopted more traditional style furnishings, such as the comfy leather sofa, it nicely reflects the colours of the rolling green countryside and wildlife of the surrounding area.

To take full advantage of the large open eaves, Anthracite Cottage is an upside-down house making the living space bright and spacious with a real airy feel. The vaulted ceiling and A-frame beams have been preserved from the original powerhouse. The modern fitted kitchen and dining area is perfect for preparing meals with the family, while the comfortable seating area is overlooked by the colours of the stained glass, just like in Sovereign Suite. Down below are two bedrooms, the twin opens to the terrace at the front while the master boasts an ensuite.

If the weather’s good, you can head outside to the paved patio at the rear where steps lead up to the enclosed lawned area, giving plenty of space for children to roam and play. You are welcome to make use of the excellent facilities in the spa for a small fee. This includes the use of the sauna, steam room, pool spa, experience shower and fully equipped gym.

Tower Cottage

Just like Anthracite Cottage, Tower Cottage is a sleeps 4 upside-down cottage that is an inspired conversion from what was once part of the old powerhouse.

To reflect the close proximity to the sea, there’s a beachside theme throughout which creates a relaxed and breezy atmosphere to the property. Having been comfortably furnished to a high standard throughout, there is a mix of modern and original industrial character of the building with the open vaulted ceiling, A-frame beams and a super stained glass window that looks over the open-plan living space.

The French doors from the master bedroom open out to your own enclosed patio with steps that lead up to a small lawn. The perfect spot to relax on a summer's evening. You are also welcome to make use of the excellent facilities in the spa for a small fee. This includes the use of the sauna, steam room, pool spa, experience shower and fully equipped gym.

A Holiday in Saundersfoot is One to Remember

A stay at Bonville’s Court means you can enjoy the mix of everything from beaches to woodland and adventure parks. If you can bear to tear yourself away from the park, a 10-minute walk will take you into the bustling harbour village of Saundersfoot with its beautiful sandy beaches, pubs, shops and restaurants to try.

All properties bar Sovereign Suite are pet friendly. Luckily Bonville’s Park is in a great location with a vast selection of truly spectacular beaches, coastal walks and interesting heritage sites for you and your four-legged friend to explore.

Saundersfoot Beach in Pembrokeshire

Your closest beach is the stunning sandy beach in Saundersfoot which does enforce a dog ban during the summer months. However, there’s also The Glen Beach on the opposite side of the harbour which is dog-friendly all year round and makes a lovely walk from the village to Monkstone Point.

Alternatively, the bustling medieval-walled town of Tenby is only 4.5 miles away. Here you can wander the quaint cobbled streets with a wide range of restaurants to try and independent shops to browse. Tenby is home to four beautiful beaches, but, from the beginning of May until the end of September, dogs are not permitted at North Beach or Harbour Beach. So if holidaying with the pooch, it may be worth heading to South Beach which welcomes dogs all year round. This sand and shingle beach stretches over to Penally Beach and is about 2 miles long with breathtaking views out to Caldey Island - perfect to give your dog plenty of exercise.

Bonville’s Court is not only ideally located near some of the most popular beaches in Wales, but it is also close to a host of family attractions such as Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Manor Wildlife Park, and Heatherton World of Activities.

Start planning your Saundersfoot holiday today with a visit to Bonville's Court Country Park, or browse our full collection of cottages in the area. Wherever you choose to make your base, you are sure to have a wonderful getaway.
