Pembrokeshire Dog Walk: Garron Pill to Lawrenny

The breathtaking landscape in this corner of Wales is ideal for a Pembrokeshire dog walk with rural woodlands, a dog friendly coastal path and plenty of sandy beaches to play on.
This walk between Lawrenny and Garron Pill, a quaint inlet off the Cleddau Estuary, is where one of our Coastal Cottages dogs likes to venture for his morning walk. Think waterside views, hints of days gone by and great food stops with this walk. Winter mornings make the perfect time for Stanley’s leisurely stroll around this part of the "hidden waterway", but bear in mind – you won’t want to forget your wellies if you’re also planning to do this walk at this time of year.
Stanley starts off at Garron Pill walking along the shore towards Lawrenny, through the wild woodland before reaching Lawrenny’s Quayside cafe and the Lawrenny Arms pub; both great pit stops for a spot of lunch. The cafe operates on seasonal hours but do stop off for a fresh crab roll if you’re in the area, as they come highly recommended. From here, Stanley loves to head up to the castle ruins before walking down through the village to get back to the car.
