In honour of our Patron Saint of Wales, Saint David, the UK's smallest city named after him hosts an annual dragon parade throughout the city centre.
Once home to Saint David, or Dewi Sant as we call him in Wales, St Davids briefly closes the road for a few hours on a Saturday around March 1st for this family-friendly annual event. It sees families, schools and children parade down the high street from Oriel Y Parc to Cross Square holding their handmade dragons high for all to see.
Each year the theme changes, so check out the Oriel Y Parc website near the time for up-to-date information. In the run-up to the parade, Oriel Y Parc usually hosts dragon-making workshops to help you prepare too, so there's plenty of seasonal activities to be getting involved with.
We estimate that the 2027 Annual St Davids Day Dragon Parade in St Davids will take place on Saturday 27th February.
