The historic Haverfordwest, set on the river Cleddau and once a thriving port, is well worth a visit. There are plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants, a cinema and even a skate park in this beautiful town, as well as a wonderful weekly Farmers’ Market.
Whilst you are staying at one of our many well-appointed Haverfordwest holiday cottages, be sure to take a wander around the old castle ruins (which are still in excellent condition) and explore the town’s museum, as both of these activities will help you learn more about the fascinating heritage of this unique destination.
Alternatively, if you are looking for something a little more family-friendly that is bound to keep the kids happy, why not pay a visit to the West Wales Karting complex, which is just a couple of miles away from the town centre? Regarded as being among the best (if not the best) karting tracks in Wales, this fantastic facility is perfect for competitive and fun races alike and, with prices starting from as little as £20, a day out here likely to cost much less than you may have thought.
