Roch is a small village which is found just under two miles inland from Newgale. It is a well-equipped little area that boasts a good local shop, a popular fish and chip takeaway (seasonal) and an excellent pub.
The village’s 12th-century restored Norman castle dominates the Pembrokeshire skyline for 20 miles around and is surrounded by some of our cosiest Roch holiday cottages, along with a lovely church. Roch’s convenient location makes it an ideal base from which you can easily reach places like Newgale’s Blue Flag beach (a hotspot for surfing), the county town of Haverfordwest, and the incomparable Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Whilst you’re staying at one of our holiday cottages in Roch, don’t miss out on enjoying a meal at the friendly village pub, the Victoria Inn, which is wonderfully welcoming and offers plenty of real ales and great home-cooked food. It also has a gorgeous log burning fire to heat up those chilly evenings and a fabulous beer garden to relax in on the warmer summer days.
The Village Hall in Roch also hosts something different nearly every night and there is a multi-use games area just outside which is perfect for playing tennis, football and volleyball on.
