The property is approached via an A-road, then into a quiet cul-de-sac for 300 metres. The property has its own parking for 3 cars, on a well-drained hardstanding of granite chippings. Additional street parking is also available. The front entrance is reached via a gently ramped access. The access to the rear is reached via two steps from the parking area along a slabbed path to 3 steps up to the back door. There is external lighting via street lights and an external light at the back door. The floors of the property are level of natural stone throughout except in the sitting room and bedroom areas which are of laminate flooring. The bath has two hand grips and is non-slip. The showers are 1200 by 800 and have a step of 200mm and 240mm (en suite). Non-slip mats are provided for the showers. The TVs are operated by remote control. The property is well-lit throughout with good natural and artificial lighting. The garden is a double plot and laid to gently sloping lawn with mainly mature shrubs around the perimeter. Guide dogs are welcomed as are two well behaved dogs. There is an external temperature controlled hot shower for washing off muddy dogs, wet suits etc. Public transport is 300 metres from the property which provides access to Haverfordwest and St Davids (service 411) via Newgale and Solva.
What a beautiful bungalow. Very clean, spacious, everything was top notch & well thought out. Great garden for the dog and BBQ! Lovely view towards Newgale with some stunning sunsets/sky! Interesting to read about the journey of Hafan Deg – thank you to the owners for sharing their bungalow It’s the best and cleanest accommodation in our 24 years of coming here! Newgawle is a must at low tide, Solva & St Davids. We aim to book for next year - can’t wait! Thank you for the welcome pack too!
Really lucked out with the weather – good few days of pure blue sky which created lovely and dramatic views, especially up on St Govens Head & Chapel. The coast in this area is so diverse and impressive, some of the best we’ve seen and we loved exploring the multiple caves on Newgale beach (+ one you can walk through to the other side). Frequently visited Solva and enjoyed the quirky shops and beach – we even managed to win 3rd place in Solva summer fate dog show with Peggy as we stumbled upon it. Would also recommend visiting St Davids Cathedral, Porthgain, and exploring as much of the coastline as possible. Absolutely loved the house, and the sociable kitchen, and had decent views of the sunsets out of the windows. The beach walk route provided was useful, and very pleasant. Very well equipped cottage and all round lovely place to stay – thank you very much, and thank you for the welcome hamper too!
Cloud, rain, fog, glimpse of the sun, lots of wind – but always a warm and welcoming home to return to. Loved the outdoor warm water shower for washing sandy feet – never come across this before, a wonderful innovation. Alternated between coastal walks (St Davids Head; Marloes and Martins Haven – not too strenuous circular walks, with three sets of seal pups seen on the latter) and braving the surf. Wetsuits definitely help, we had some from New Surf at Newgale beach. Many thanks also for the description of the path down to the beach – it wasn’t on our maps and we wouldn’t have found it otherwise. We have many years’ experience of summer holidays in Pembrokeshire, the weather certainly variable, but we always have a good time.
A lovely bungalow, very clean with everything you need. ~Thank you for the hamper. Weather on the whole generally good. We had some lovely days out at Barafundle, Bosherston Lily Ponds, Marloes and St Davids. Beautiful views of Newgale from the garden and some lovely sunsets. Will definitely be coming back.
Very clean and comfortable house, we have had a lovely time! Lots of lovely beaches and coastline to explore and the trip to Skomer was definitely worth doing. Pembroke Castle and St Davids Cathedral also a must.
Best holiday home we have ever stayed in. So clean and well equipped. Thank you for the hamper. The tumble dryer is so useful. Everything we wanted in here and all clean and in good working order. Brilliant
Fantastic holiday – beautiful house and all so comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Loved walking to Newgale through the National Trust land and also had a fantastic meal at the pub down the road. A beautiful area to explore and we hope to revisit again soon.
Lovely stay, great location. Accommodation was first class.
Have had a lovely week staying here with our daughter and grandsons. The weather was perfect and spent most days on the beach. The accommodation was excellent and the boys did not want to go home! Hope to come again, thank you
We had an excellent week. A fantastic base and location to visit beautiful Pembrokeshire. Thank you for such a wonderful bungalow!
Another fantastic stay at Hafan Deg, a wonderful base to explore Pembrokeshire. Superbly equipped, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean and comfortable. We will be back!
Hello, just wanted to give you some feedback on our recent stay. The welcome pack was lovely and very much appreciated after a long drive. The property is simply stunning and finished to a very high standard. The layout also worked out perfectly for us being Mum, Dad, Grampy and two children. The pieces of artwork were beautiful to look at and a really nice touch. All the kitchen utensils/pots and pans/crockery were all an excellent standard and the bedrooms bathrooms were spotless. Although not easy to walk to beach as is main road, everything is a short car distance away. Also the board games and other things in the property were very welcome too. Thank you Coastal Cottages and the owners of Hafan Deg for an idyllic stay.
We have just returned from a fabulous stay at the Hafan Deg property!! Wow what a beautiful house, the best we have stayed in and we found it very hard to leave I can tell you!
