We started our walk from Goodwick Harbour Beach, it was a steep hill climb through harbour village - until you reach the path out over the cliffs with the most fantastic views of Goodwick below and Fishguard opposite.
The day we chose to walk, there were clear skies but it was extremely windy. Once we accessed the path and started our walk, it was very open for the majority and it made the walk that little more challenging. The rough seas were amazing to see, especially the way the waves would hit the cliffside. The path was very hilly and there were some steep inclines and declines throughout this stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, so I would suggest it would be better for the more experienced walker.
We came across a number of very pretty waterfalls running down through the fields and surrounded by trees - we even experienced a flurry of snow at one point!
This part of the coast is very rough and jagged so there were many coves to come in and out of on the top of the cliffside. We passed by Penrhyn cottage right on the coast path, a favourite amongst our guests because of its remote location at Strumble Head. It attracts those looking to escape life - a digital detox is encouraged as it does not even have electricity.
We finally spotted the familiar site of Strumble Head Lighthouse in the distance and our end was in sight. This walk took us 2hrs 40mins and was enjoyable, even on this very wild day.
