Pembrokeshire Dog Walk: Treffgarne Rock
Cabbage the cockapoo enjoys going off-path towards Treffgarne Gorge

The prominent craggy outcrop at Treffgarne towers over you on the drive between Haverfordwest and Fishguard. Enjoy a Pembrokeshire dog walk to the top for incredible elevated views over the Welsh countryside and beyond.
It really is no wonder this is one of Cabbage’s favourite walks, as the panoramic views from atop the Rock are truly spectacular and are not to be missed when visiting the area. To really make the most of your walk and take full advantage of the high viewpoint, bring along a picnic as you'll easily be able to spend hours here basking in the glorious panorama.
Join this circular walk from the old Nant-Y-Coy Mill near Wolfscastle and be prepared for a short but steep section to begin with. Soon enough the path opens up onto an open green space giving a clear view to the rocks ahead. Ramblers and adventurous pooches such as Cabbage may love scrambling onto the top of Lion Rock or climbing to the top of the Poll Carn boulders. Follow the farm track past the rocky outcrops and back downhill to your starting point. You can divert off-path towards the Gorge, but this section is less maintained than the circular walk around the Rock so may not be suitable for all.
Suitable for: Families, children and exploring dogs
Distance: 2.2m approx.
