Get into the Festive Spirit for 2023
Prepare for a Christmas cracker as many of our favourite seaside towns are getting into the festive spirit with the Christmas lights switched on.
There are some spectacular displays in towns and villages across the county. From choirs and carols to coastal-themed illuminations. There’s a variety of Christmas lights to see!
Goodwick
When: Friday 24th November 2023
Time: 6pm
Goodwick Light Night will be kicking off the festive spirit on Friday 24th November open from 5-8pm from the main street and on the square. There will be live music from the Goodwick Community Band and Ysgol Wdig Choir. The lights will be switched on at 6pm sharp and Santa will also arrive in his sleigh, making an appearance at OceanLab to give out some treats for children.

Fishguard
When: Saturday 25th November 2023
Time: 6pm
Goodwick’s light night will be closely followed by its neighbouring town of Fishguard. Starting at 5.15pm there will be carols performed by Ysgol Glannau Gwaun Choir and Holy Name School Choir. The lights will be switched on at 6pm where Santa will make his second appearance in his sleigh and head to the Town Hall. There will also be a Nativity Trail at St Mary's Church open from 5.30pm to 7pm.
Coastal Cottages Holiday Cottages in Fishguard
Fishguard, previously a Viking settlement, is a small and friendly coastal town which comes to life on market day (Thursday). The small shops, galleries and restaurants are of particularly high quality and the town also hosts a fantastic annual international music and arts festival in July.
Tenby
When: Saturday 25th November 2023
Time: 4.30pm
For a magnificent and atmospheric lights display, head to the popular seaside resort of Tenby for some festive fun on Saturday 25th November. Starting at 1pm there will be a local DJ creating the Christmas atmosphere with popular festive tunes. This will be followed by live musical performances in Tudor Square.
The mayor of the town will set off down to Castle Hill with Tenby RNLI launching the all-weather lifeboat at 3.45pm to collect Father Christmas from a secret location out at sea. Once safely ashore, the mayor and Santa will join the blue light parade through the festive flurry of snow from the roof of Tenby House Hotel to turn on the lights on the town Christmas Tree on the grounds of St Mary’s Church at 4.30pm.
During the afternoon, there will be lots of arts and crafts to take part in as well as Christmas stalls featuring local businesses for gifts and some children's rides.

Haverfordwest
When: Saturday 25th November 2023
Time: 6pm
Haverfordwest Light Switch will take place on Saturday 25th November at the Riverside. Starting at 12pm there will be live music, choirs and dance groups with special guests on stage: Santa and Sparkle the Elf. There will also be various stalls, games and giveaways to build up the switch-on of the lights at 6pm. Prepare for a fantastic fireworks display and Santa in his sleigh.

The historic Haverfordwest, set on the river Cleddau and once a thriving port, is well worth a visit. There are plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants, a cinema and even a skate park in this beautiful town, as well as a wonderful weekly Farmers’ Market.
Saundersfoot
When: Friday 1st December 2023
Time: 6pm
The Christmas lights in the Saundersfoot Sensory Garden are being switched on in Saundersfoot on Friday 1st December at 6pm. There will be a fabulous Christmas tree and of course, the Welcome to Saundersfoot sign lighting up the heart of the village accompanied by members of the local primary school entertaining with Christmas carols and late-night shopping till 7.30pm.

Time: 4.30pm - 7.30pm
Carew Castle will be dressed for Christmas with illuminations taking place every Friday to Sunday, from 1st December to 17th December, between 4.30pm and 7.30pm. Visitors can also look forward to the spellbinding light displays in the Walled Garden, where families can enjoy ‘glow in the dark’ games and activities. The Nest Tearoom on site will be open until 7.30pm during these weekends and there will even be a reindeer trail and Santa's Grotto.

St Davids
When: Saturday 2nd December 2023
Time: 5.15pm
St Davids Christmas Tree lights will be taking place at 5.15pm on the Cross Square on Saturday 2nd December. There will be Christmas carols and a visit from Father Christmas in his Grotto at the Memorial Hall at 5.45pm.
