Dinas Cross is a thriving village less than a mile from the sea which is well-served with shops, inns and a petrol station. In spring and early summer, the hedges are full of wildflowers and abound with birdlife.
Wherever you go in North Pembrokeshire, you will usually be able to see the dramatic volcanic stumps of Mynydd Dinas and Carn Enoch on the horizon, both of which are teaming with Bronze Age history, and this is exactly what awaits guests staying at our holiday cottages in Dinas Cross. The gorgeous Pwllgwaelod beach is just half a mile away from the village, too.
Additionally, Cwm yr Eglwys’ beautifully sheltered sandy Cwm Yr Eglwys Beach is nearby and marks the start of a popular walk which leads from the beach, around Dinas Head and into the hamlet of Cwm yr Eglwys itself, before heading back through a flat, wooded valley that boasts a fabulous path designed to be suitable for the disabled. The route finishes at Pwllgwaelod Beach, which visitors should note can only be accessed by walkers via a steep road (this is also the case at Cwm yr Eglwys).
Relaxing comes easily when you’re based at one of our Dinas holiday cottages but, for those who would prefer a more energetic day, public tennis courts can be booked in the village, whilst a mountain bike hire centre and horse-riding stables are also close by.
