Life in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
Visit castles, eat your way around the coast or trek the Preseli Hills - either way a holiday here will be one to remember

To say Pembrokeshire is like no other National Park is an understatement. It may be one of 15 in the UK, but it is the only coastal National Park surrounded on three sides by the sea and that naturally makes it the best (in our opinion).
Established in 1952, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park measures 612 square kilometres, all of which is breathtakingly beautiful (and no, we’re not biased) and rich with culture, heritage and nature. Explore the incredible coastline, visit one of the grand castles or spend your days wildlife spotting for dolphins, Manx Shearwaters and grey seal pups.
Skomer Island, the only Marine Conservation Zone of its kind in Wales, is famous for housing the largest colony of puffins in the country. Plus Ramsey Island is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Protection Area which is managed by the RSPB who care for the several species of seabirds who reside there.
Embrace the local culture by planning a food tour stopping off for Welsh cakes, hearty bowls of cawl and freshly caught seafood or delve into a world of Welshness and discover the history of Saint David at the Cathedral in St Davids, the UK’s smallest city which is now named after him. For a few hours of retail therapy, grab your shopping bags and head to the high streets bursting with independent stores like Narberth, St Davids, Tenby and Cardigan.
