Coastguard Cottage is a deceptively spacious, Victorian stone terrace cottage, tucked away in the popular coastal village of Broad Haven, just a short walk from its glorious sandy beach.
Fully renovated throughout with quality furnishings in a cottage-style that reflect its seaside location. A footpath through the long, enclosed lawned front garden takes you to the front door, with its sea views, the bench on the patio is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine on a sunny summer’s evening. Two sitting-rooms, divided by an arch and glass doors, give plenty of space to relax with both a TV area and a quieter play room. One step leads up into the fitted cottage-style kitchen/diner; from here a door opens to the enclosed rear garden with large attractive patio, two steps lead up to the lawn, a lovely sheltered spot to dine alfresco. Stairs from the sitting room lead up to the bedrooms; both twin rooms offer sea views with the one on the second floor nestling in the eaves with A-frame beams.
A few minutes walk will take you to the stunning long sandy beach, popular with families and water sports enthusiasts, the perfect place to spend your days. There is a hire shop in the village as well as a pub, and the Ocean Bar, cafe and restaurant comes highly recommended with its perfect location overlooking the beach. There is also a well-stocked shop. All of these are within walking distance.
Take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path that runs through the village to explore this glorious coastline; at low tide you can stroll along the beach to the neighbouring picturesque cove of Little Haven, where there are more pubs and restaurants to try.

This is a great cottage for a family break – many thanks for the child friendly-features (e.g. a travel cot and a stair gate). We cooked most nights and found the kitchen well stocked with useful utensils, thank you. We have absolutely loved getting out and about, the cottage provided a great base for us, lots of tourist locations very easily accessible. We visited Hilton Court Gardens, Blue Lagoon, Marloes Sands, St. Davids and Dr Beynon’s bug farm, and of course Broad Haven and Little Haven. It’s been fantastic! Many thanks.
Lovely week in Broad Haven – cottage perfect location for seeing the area and great eating places. Lovely little ‘suntrap’ for tea in the afternoon. Cottage certainly well equipped for a family.
What a beautiful cottage! Perfect space for our little family. Great to have the garden as well as the beach. Hope to be back again!
Had another great week, weather was pretty good. Our daughter had plenty of hours in the sea. Thank you for another great stay in your cottage. Hope to see you again.
We are family of 6 – we had a wonderful week in your lovely cottage and we were very blessed with superb weather. It was good being able to eat our meals outside in the walled garden.
My dad and I have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Coastguard Cottage. We love Pembrokeshire, whatever the weather and this cottage has been warm and comfortable. We would definitely come again. We recommend The Griffin in Dale if you’re looking for somewhere special for a meal out.
Arrived in beautiful sunshine to find this wonderful accommodation, so well furnished and finished to such a very high standard. Found it so spacious and well equipped for our needs. Have really enjoyed our time here in Broad Haven, a real getaway from the mad house of normal life. Beach walks a real basic and lucky for us we had a week of lovely warm sunshine, really showing off the spectacular views, walks beaches and towns this area had to offer. Will definitely return to Coastguard Cottage again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Super cottage, so well-equipped and a super position. Thank you; we mainly walked and surfed, visiting our daughter on her hospital placement.
We’ve been coming to Broad Haven for many years and this is the first time at your cottage. We’ve loved it. Great location and plenty of space inside and out for all the family. Lovely views on nice walks down to the beach. We love the kitchen looking out the back and we played the games most nights. We would love to come back soon! Thank you very much.
Thank you for a very pleasant week with friends. Broad Haven is an excellent base for exploring the whole hinterland of St Brides Bay - and using buses to starting points for coast path walks. Clean and well appointed cottage. We will recommend it to others.
What a fabulous cottage. Everything we needed for a great week. Great location, loved the walk to Little Haven at low tide. Had some lovely family meals in and also some excellent meals out. The St. Brides Inn at Little Haven was our favourite. Hope to return one day soon. With many thanks.
Lovely cottage very near the beach, lots of space and downstairs bathroom good :) - Isla Mackensie age 9. Thank you for a lovely week, it's a great cottage. Beautifully clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed walking to Little Haven at low tide and also rock pooling under Lion's Head rock (found some baby star-fish). The kids recommend Joe's Turkish Delight ice-cream at the Bay.
Weather for the week was great on the beach with granddaughter every day. Returned with family as we enjoyed last year. Thanks again.
We have had a great week. The cottage is in a good position if you have small children as the beach is just down the road. Great time had by all! Thanks.
Had a fantastic holiday- thank-you. Lovely, spacious cottage, in a gorgeous setting. We enjoyed the beach and coastal walks. Recommend fish and chips at the Shed in Porthgain, the pubs in Little Haven and the quiz at the Ocean on Thursday evening. Great boat trip around Ramsey Island from St.Davids. Our first visit to Pembrokeshire and looking forward to returning. Thanks again
Once again we've had a lovely week- feeling very at ease and at home whilst here. The weather has been good to us too, which is a bonus for this time of year! Future visitor- please try the St.Brides in Litlle Haven for excellent food! A few tea shops and cake shops in Pembroke- very near the Castle, is absolutely fabulous (everything home made) and lovely, friendly staff. There's a new chef at The Galleon- Ian- whom I know from a previous encounter-will be excellent. We'll be back!
