Monterey is a stunning detached holiday home with a hot tub for added luxury, set in an enviable position above Tenby North Beach with panoramic sea views over Tenby Harbour, Caldey Island and the whole of Carmarthen Bay, on a clear day catch glimpses as far as Lundy and the Gower. Set at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac the fabulous sandy North Beach is a only a short downhill walk away, as well as the excellent facilities in this popular medieval walled town of Tenby with its pretty painted houses, quaint cobbled streets, picturesque harbour and choice of 4 sandy beaches. 

A shared driveway leads around to the rear of the house with 5 steps down to the front door and welcoming entrance hall. Beautifully furnished with a luxurious feel, the large modern, fitted kitchen/diner is a chef’s delight to prepare meals in to be enjoyed by all the family, with its large island and dining table, while enjoying the wonderful sea views. French doors open to the split level decked terrace and lovely landscaped front garden with a number of different terraces, small lawn and sitting areas giving you plenty of sunny spots to relax and enjoy the sea view from, accessed by pathways and slabbed steps, all beautifully planted and landscaped. There is even a newly added hot tub to enjoy, spend your evenings luxuriating in its warm bubbles, perfect for soaking away any aches and pains while you gaze at the stunning stars overhead - bliss!

A half set of stairs lead to the large sunken sitting room with French doors opening to the decked terrace. Relax on the large leather sofas, there is even a piano for budding pianists to enjoy. All bar one of the spacious bedrooms offer stunning sea views, one double with ensuite bathroom has a Juliette balcony so you can make the most of the view, while the super master bedroom with its ensuite and dressing room has a sofa bed, French doors open to a balcony the perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening to watch the sun shimmer on the water. The twin room also has a sea aspect. Enjoy alfresco meals on the decked terrace and soak up the panoramic views taking in Tenby, the pretty harbour beach and out to sea.

Once you arrive you can forget the car or even arrive by train with shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance, spend your days on the beach, there are 4 to choose from all within walking distance and children will enjoy crabbing off the harbour wall. A boat trip to Caldey Island is a must of any holiday, home to the Cistercian monks, its serene atmosphere is very special. Take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path passing not far from your door to explore this spectacular coastline on foot, head east to Saundersfoot over the headland, this seaside village has a  number of shops, restaurants and glorious sandy beaches. For a treat book a meal at the award winning Coast restaurant set on Coppet Sands Beach overlooking the sea, or to the West are a number of pretty villages and bays including Lydstep, Manorbier and Freshwater East. For keen water sport enthusiasts try your hand at surfing, kite surfing and kayaking, all popular pursuits from the nearby beaches. There are a number of family attractions within a short drive including Folly Farm, Manor Wildlife Park and Heatherton World of Activities, while keen golfers will love the choice of courses nearby including Tenby Golf Club and Trefloyne Golf Club.  

There really is something for everyone, Monterey with its wonderful views and hot tub is sure to give guests holiday memories to cherish.

Approached from A478 The house is accessed down a wide single lane road off into a housing estate, with a shared drive access. At the rear of the property there is a sloping driveway with parking for two cars. Main entrance door is reached by 4 steps with handrails either side (steps =19cm height /89cm width). Ground Floor Facilities include Hallway, Store Cupboard, WC, and kitchen. Lower Ground floor (sitting room) is accessed through the hallway down 7 stairs (1.1m width) to the lounge area (natural & artificial lighting) with doors leading out onto the Lower decking area. Stairs (1.1m width) lead to half landing, double bedroom with ensuite bath, with 8 stairs (1.1m wide) leading to first floor. First Floor facilities include 3 bedrooms & a shower room and large landing area. 1 double bedroom with ensuite shower & bath, walk in wardrobe and double doors out onto a balcony. Tv with Freeview. 1 double bedroom, Tv with Freeview. 1 twin room. Shower room. Kitchen has large area of worktops with a Double oven with microwave built in, large kitchen island & TV with Freeview. TV with Sky in the lounge. Property has Wi-Fi. All internal doors measure 80cm. The garden can be accessed via double doors from the lower ground floor and the ground floor (170cm wide). The Upper decked area steps (92cm) with handrails either side/middle lead down to the lower decked area. The garden is a tiered garden with a large upper decked area and lower decked area. There is a loose stoned garden path that leads to the back of the property where there is a small lawned area on a slope. Another path leads from the lower decking area to a flat patio area. There is also a small path leading to the bottom of the garden where you can find another small sloping lawned area and wooden seated area. The garden can also be accessed via the side of the property through a double gate (128cm width). Local Train station and bus stops is approximately 0.6 mile from the property. Property has external lights front and back of the property (motion sensor activated).

The house is spacious with lots of things to enjoy such as the piano, hot tub and enjoying the view. Great time had by all. Lovely clean house. We enjoyed a boat trip, coastal walks, walk around Tenby and Carew Castle. Would recommend a trip to Caldey Island and the Coast Path walk from Tenby to Saundersfoot. July 2023
