Our Favourite Foodie Finds

Have you visited any of these places?

Cocktails

Any self-proclaimed foodie will be in heaven when journeying along the shores of Pembrokeshire, as there are tasty treats in abundance. You’ll be met with mouth-watering meals, tastebud-tempting feasts and scrumptious snacks wherever you look.

This western region’s foodie scene has only become more exciting in recent years with brilliant new spots opening up, rivalling some of our time-old favourites for the title of best eateries around. But where to travel to first?

Salty’s Beach Bar and Restaurant in Tenby is the new go-to overlooking Tenby South Beach; try local mussels or fillet steak. Umi Tenby now stands in the heart of the cobbled town and offers Japanese inspired dishes, ideal if you fancy expanding your palette.

The Really Wild Food Emporium in St Davids promises a festival of foraged food in a cosy atmosphere, try their seasonal tasting menus to sample everything on offer and make sure to order a cocktail too. Just down the street, you’ll find Losh’s Pasties; perfect when you want a hot snack on a cold day.

Last but not least, we have to mention Paternoster Farm. Those of you who ever visited the food hall, Y Gegin in Pembroke, will already be familiar with the top-class food from this family-run venture but we just had to give it another shout out. Now operating from the farm near Angle, you’ll find changing weekly menus bursting with small plates, sharing dishes and more. Local produce is the hero of the dish every time and you’d best be quick booking, as Paternoster Farm is popular!

Pembrokeshire seafood

Seafood:

Try Madtom Seafood Bar in Narberth for super-fresh fish and seafood, caught by locals off the coast of Tenby and Milford.

Cake:

Anyone with a sweet tooth ought to venture to Siop Fach in Mathry which offers delicious cakes to eat in or takeaway.

Vegan Food:

The Fuchsia Caffe in Tenby is a vegan’s dream with a menu full of veggie and vegan options (meat too!). The afternoon tea is highly recommended.

Ice Cream:

Gianni’s in St Davids is a must. Hand-crafted gelato in the heart of St Davids with a wide selection of flavours - dog friendly available too.

Local Produce:

Bubbleton Farm Shop near Saundersfoot has everything you could possibly want with lots of their own produce such as fruit and veg, eggs and more.
