Tenby Castle Beach is a soft sandy beach set between Castle Hill and East Cliff, which won the Sunday Times Beach of the Year Award in 2019. From here, you have clear views of St Catherine's Island which was used in recent years as a filming location for the BBC adaptation of Sherlock starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Spend your days basking in the sun (sunscreen not to be forgotten!) or stroll down to watch the sunset. At low tide, walk along the sands and you will eventually reach South Beach and beyond.
Accessible via a slipway from the harbour, this beach is a great choice for family days out as it is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Tenby where you will find a host of amenities. Do some shopping, stop somewhere for a spot of lunch or browse the galleries for your own piece of Tenby to take home.
