About Lantern House

Lantern House is a delightful Victorian terraced house on Tenby’s crescent shaped Deer Park. Formerly the Argyle Hotel, the house has been refurbished to provide a high level of quality accommodation for guests.

Set only a few minutes stroll from Tenby’s stunning North Beach seafront. The house comprises of steps up to the building’s raised ground floor where you enter the hallway leading to the kitchen. The dining area and sitting areas are to the rear and benefit from glazed doors that open onto the screened/private decked rear terrace, perfect for alfresco eating.

The original staircase leads up to the first floor where there are 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom and then on the second floor is the master ensuite bedroom with views across the roof tops of Tenby to the front and rear towards South Beach. Below Lantern House is Lantern Suite a lower ground floor apartment which sleeps 2, this is also available for holiday rentals if your party is larger or want a shorter stay.

A smart and highly recommended base for this beautiful town with all its great amenities and beaches an easy stroll away.

Parking: Nearby public car park, charges apply.

This Access Statement has been prepared by the owner for your information; it is the most recent version that we have received. This statement has been prepared as objectively as possible, however with such a wide remit oversights may be made.

Lantern House has double yellow lines outside, but brief stops to load and unload are acceptable (strictly to load and unload). There is a step up through a gateway (approx 90cm wide) then a path up to a further step, then 3 further steps up to the front door which has a small lip. The hallway, kitchen and sitting/dining room are all on one level, stripped original floorboards. There are double frame doors out onto a decked area. The width of the opening is 180cm and there is a small lip onto the decking. On the decking there is a utility shed (small step up) inside there is a doorway through to a shower, small step into tray). Please note there is no toilet on the ground floor. There is an original wooden staircase of approximately 14 steps up to the first floor, to a carpeted landing and the bedrooms have original stripped wooden floors and the bathroom and toilet have tiled floors. There is a flight of original wooden stairs up to the top floor bedroom. The room is carpeted and leads to a tiled bathroom and a small carpeted storage/cot/dressing room. Please ask if you require further details or measurements. The nearest car park is on Upper Park Road, the multi-storey car park next to Sainsburys. The train stations is approx. 5 minutes walk away. The bus station is next to the multi-storey car park as previously mentioned.


Its spacious, bright and wonderfully central to Tenby.


Its clean spacious and beautifully decorated yet comfortable and cosy too. We love it here so much, we have stayed three times and have already booked for next year. Thanks for the bottle of wine too - nice thoughtful touch.
