About Llain Gwynfor

With a charming traditional cottage appearance Llain Gwynfor is a spacious detached house with glorious views over the fields to the sea.

Set on the outskirts of the popular village of Trefin within easy walking distance of the pub and the picturesque cove of Aberfelin.

Comfortably and stylishly furnished, it is a real ‘home from home’ with porcelain tiled floors throughout the ground floor.

There is plenty of space to relax in the large open plan living space with its modern bespoke well-equipped kitchen.   The unusual corner wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel on those chillier evenings, while you snuggle on the large sofas.  Arches lead through to the dining area where you can enjoy meals at the substantial dining table or relax on the bistro style seating in the garden room area and admire the sea views.

Triple bi-fold doors open this space up to the large enclosed, rear garden with its paved terrace where you can dine alfresco or sit round the chiminea.  A slope leads up to the lawn giving plenty of space for children to play or soak up the sea views and the magnificent sunsets from the top of the garden.

There is also a second sitting room/snug with TV, a useful study and a cloakroom completing the ground floor accommodation.

The detached shed makes useful bike/kayak storage or a place for children to play on the multi-function games table.

Wonderfully appointed bedrooms with good quality linen and throws open off the galleried landing on the first floor, the 2 main bedrooms and bathroom offer stunning sweeping views over the sea and towards Strumble Head.

Who needs a car? Once you arrive with a pub in the village and the picturesque cove of Aberfelin within walking distance, with its sand and shingle beach, tunnel and rock pools at low tide, it is sure to delight. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and explore this stunning rugged coastline on foot, the fishing village of Abercastle is only one mile away over the headland, watch the fisherman land their catch, this inlet is popular with kayakers and boat lovers or for adrenaline junkies, try your hand at coasteering.

Porthgain has a popular pub, The Sloop Inn, and The Shed Fish Restaurant, as well as an art gallery, while Abereiddy is well worth a visit with its black sand beach and The Blue Lagoon, made famous by the Red Bull Cliff Diving Championship. Further along the coast is the famous Whitesands Bay, popular with surfers both professional and beginners alike, as well as families. A visit to the tiny City of St Davids should not be missed with its excellent facilities and majestic Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace.

Llain Gwynfor is a special holiday home, perfect for family get togethers or friends to explore this wonderful part of Pembrokeshire.

Please note no outdoor shoes to be worn on oak staircase and upstairs.
